Have you ever considered taking your ministry international?
Has God spoken to YOU about the need to take the Gospel to the nations?
Do you ever think to yourself, "I love using my gifts here in my own country…but I can’t help feeling there are greater needs beyond these shores that i can also meet"? It is not an either/or proposition. International ministry can actually fuel your domestic ministry, and vice versa.
God has laid it on my heart to begin equipping a select group of women for international ministry. The vision God imparted is to offer a 12-week intensive training program to approximately 12 women, culminating in an overseas ministry trip lasting approximately 12 days. It is the 12-12-12 Project.
The trip will include opportunity for you to experience a broad range of ministry experiences, from working with children and youth, to equipping the church for the work of ministry at training seminars. From visiting in the homes of the poorest of the world’s poor to speaking into the lives of current and future national leaders. You’ll learn how to prepare culturally and spiritually to enter new territory and experience the joy of working with a translator. Few things are as amazing as being 1/2 of a Vessel God Can Use as He speaks through two people at once. You will bond with your translator in a powerful way.
To qualify, you must meet very select criteria:
- You must be an established leader in the Body of Christ in North America, the UK or Australia/New Zealand. By leader, I mean women’s ministry leader, pastor’s wife, author, speaker, spokesperson (athlete, artist, media personality, opinion shaper) etc.
- You have to agree to complete the 12-week training, including live e-training, internet and printed course material, mentoring sessions (via SKYPE), etc. This is both for your benefit and for team strengthening, as well as an opportunity for me to discover your gifts and strengths in reference to the overall team.
- You must complete the application process, including a letter from you and 3 ministry leaders outlining how you’ve demonstrated the ability to rapidly adapt to any situation and evidence that you are the type of person who can minister to all levels of society, from the poorest of the poor to national leaders.
- You must agree to be teachable and flexible. International ministry is not for the stubborn or the faint-of-heart. There will be tough days, demanding situations, schedules will change! Can you "roll with it"?
- Agree to do a little language learning in advance. (Key phrases in either Spanish or Portuguese, depending on which country you’ll be visiting)
