Will God really cancel your debt supernaturally???
Throughout the church in America, people were praying for supernatural debt relief in the month of May. At first, I was extremely skeptical but as I searched out the scripture–both Old and New Testament–I became convinced it was a biblical principle.
“At the end of every seven years, you must cancel debts.” Deut. 15:1
“The servant’s master took pity on him, canceled the debt and let him go.” Matt. 18:27
Before you write this concept off as flaky or irresponsible, please go listen to the full teleseminar I taught on this subject. I think you’ll be amazed how biblical this is, even though it has not been taught. (It’s the 5-26 teaching on Financial Planning, addressing both natural and supernatural debt relief)
Okay, so here’s my story. After my father died in June 2006, I refinanced my home to purchase a park model in a local retirement community for my mother . When the real estate market collapsed, the value of both homes plunged. To make matters worse, my husband (an architect) hasn’t had steady work in more than two years. Like many Americans, I was sinking deeper and deeper into the pit of debt.
When I heard about supernatural debt cancellation, I began earnestly praying and even fasted for six days. After much prayer, I contacted my lender. The woman who answered my call was incredibly rude and abusive, even screaming at me and hanging up the phone. I refused to take offense. Instead, I prayed for wisdom, then looked up the phone number for the bank president’s office and went straight to the top. I kindly told them how I had been treated. God granted me favor and I ended up having a pleasant conversation about shopping for knock-off accessories with a woman in the president’s office. We hardly discussed the loan. As we chatted, she said, “I’m going to get this taken care of for you.”
Within days, I received a call from the bank, outlining the terms of my new 4% loan. Before the employee concluded, he asked, “How do you know president so-and-so?” I chuckled and informed him I have a Friend in high places to which he responded, “You must! Because this came directly from the President’s office with instructions to get this done immediately. I’m sending the approved loan documents to you tonight via Federal Express.”
I had not completed one piece of paperwork. Had not submitted one drop of financial information. Nothing. Done deal. As a bonus, they told me not to bother making a payment in June. Here’s the kicker: my new loan payment is now $100 less than I was paying BEFORE I bought the house for my mother. I ran the total cost savings of the new reduced rate and discovered that it is almost exactly the cost of the house I bought my mom.
I prayed for supernatural debt relief and God gave me a free house!
That’s the short story. Here’s the rest of the story.
Right before the real estate collapse, I purchased an office which is now worth half what I owe. The $2,900 a month mortgage is a crushing financial burden because the business we opened in the facility did not last six months. Beginning last August, I began seeking a loan modification from the lender. I have spent at least 100 hours filling out paperwork, submitting, re-submitting, and re-re-submitting a mountain of financial information. I’ve made dozens and dozens of phone calls. When employees heaped abuse on me, I’m ashamed to admit: I often heaped it right back. (You can take the girl out of New Jersey, but God’s still working on getting the Jersey Girl out of me!) After ten months of relentlessly pursuing NATURAL debt relief, I’m no further along then when I first began.
What a difference when we do things our way rather than God’s way. What a difference when we become offended and angry, rather than walking in grace and peace. Wow.
But there’s more. When I realized how wrong I had been, I repented before God for the way I have handled this. I also left an encouraging phone message for my primary contact at the lending institution, thanking him for his kindness and his efforts on my behalf. When I went up for prayer during a recent church service, God spoke through the prayer partner this word, “God will grant you the relief you are asking, but it might not be in the way you think.” She was right.
Back in March, a friend invited me to get in on the ground floor of a new energy drink company called Efusjon. I don’t think it’s a coincidence–but a God-incidence–that my business really took off in the month of May. I now have 1,500 customers–less than 10 of whom I personally enrolled. This residual income is enough to pay ALL of my bills every month with money to spare. Efusjon is now the fastest growing network marketing company in American history and I believe God has even more ‘supernatural debt cancellation’ in store for me!
So even if the lender on the office never grants me a loan modification, I still believe God has granted me supernatural debt relief on that property as well
What should you do if you need debt relief?
1. REPENT. Get on your knees and confess YOUR part in the sorry mess. No, I mean, really repent which means “agree with God.” In order to agree with Him, you have to press in hard and really hear HIS perspective on the way you’ve been living your life. If you don’t weep, if you aren’t heart-sick at your own folly and selfishness, I gotta wonder….
2. Operate with integrity. Do everything humanly possible to pay your bills. Have a yard sale. (I did!) Sell your stuff on ebay. Don’t expect God to just wave a magic wand if you aren’t willing to do all you can. Do what you CAN do and God will do what you can’t do.
3. Stay in Fields of Grace. Don’t expect God to bless you and grant you favor if you ‘lose it’ with your lenders. I’m living proof of that! Keep calm and kind.
4. Fast. There are some things that ONLY go out by prayer and fasting. My guess is that the debt monster is on the list! I fasted for six days. I’d say that’s a minimum you should consider.
5. Seek first His Kingdom. Why do you want debt relief? So you can stay stupid and go buy more stupid stuff? Not so sure that motive will get God’s attention. How about this motive: So you can invest in HIS KINGDOM rather than building the kingdoms of this world thru fees and interest payments. (Ever notice that all the biggest buildings are financial institutions?) My dream is to devote full-time to missions; to see His Kingdom come and His will being done right here on earth, right now, just as it is in heaven.
6. Commit to STAY out of debt. If you can’t control yourself and discipline yourself to pay off your credit cards in full every month (I pay them off every week), then by all means, cut them up. Don’t spend what you don’t have. Exercise wisdom and self-control.
7. Put your hands to something! Everyone in America, and certainly everyone asking God for debt relief, should be putting their hands to the plow in their own home business. Again, don’t ask God to do what you CAN’T do if you aren’t willing to be faithful in what you CAN do. BTW, before you launch your own business, watch Pursuit of Happyness at least 10x. THAT’s the kind of tenacity it takes to succeed. I always marvel at people who work an hour a day at a business and can’t figure out why it’s not succeeding. Or who quit after six months because they aren’t making big money. When I started my home business, I worked 10 hours a day and barely broke even the first year. Welcome to the real world, friends.
If you are looking for something to put your hand to, I have two direct sales businesses I enjoy and you are welcome to join either of my growing teams. BTW, if your knee-jerk reaction to the last sentence was: “Donna’s just trying to sell me something,” PLEASE don’t click on the links and I beg you not to consider signing up! And especially don’t email me about how expensive it is to start your own business complete with a FREE professionally-created websiteÂ
So anyway, if you are that person, promise not to email me and let’s not chat, okay? Otherwise, I might be tempted to leave my Fields of Grace and shift into Jersey Girl mode! Don’t wanna go there because I want to stay blessed. It’s so much more fun to be blessed than cursed! Who’d a thunk it? 30 years as a Christian and I’m just getting a handle on Christianity 101. Go figure.
8. Believe it! God IS granting supernatural debt relief to His children in our day SO THAT we can use our resources to advance His Kingdom upon the earth. Get on board or get out the way!
If seeing is believing, watch the videos:
Awesome Donna! We’ve had several miracles, provision and miraculous debt cancellation including government debt in the past. I can testify that this really happens when you put the debt and difficulty in Jesus’ nail scarred hands. We are living in God’s economy no matter what the circumstances of this world’s economy.
Bravo Donna! This is what I am learning too.
We haven’t had anything supernaturally canceled yet, but here’s a story for you. Last week I was charged for a domain name that I hadn’t intended to renew. It was set to auto-renew and I wasn’t aware that it was. The day that it renewed I immediately sent an email to the company to ask if they could cancel it and refund my money. I didn’t get a reply from them. Nothing!
Yesterday I was doing some paperwork and noticed that I hadn’t heard anything about that email. I thought to myself, “Well, it’s just $8.95. I guess I’ll just let it go. They obviously aren’t going to refund it.” As soon as I thought that the Holy Spirit reminded me that “You have not because you ask not!” I picked up the phone right then, called, and was issued the refund in less than 10 minutes.
I am now asking for much bigger things! Thanks for sharing your testimony it encouraged me.
This is such good information that so many people need. I wish everyone could read this, understand it, and trust God.
A great tutorial. I’m going to try to print this out. And paste it on my mirror in the bathroom & on my refrigerator and my bulletin board until it gets through to my hard 63 yr old head!!!
Spirit is willing, but the flesh is oh so weak!
Diane, I am beginning to hear great testimonies from women in my circle of influence, about how God is miraculously providing for them! God is amazing!
Carolyn, Isn’t it sad that today, so many believers are characterized by UNBELIEF and cynacism rather than belief!!!
Hey Paula, great to hear from you. I love how you are focusing on being faithful in the small things; God will honor that as you believe for bigger things!
Preach it, Laurie! God is absolutely doing a new thing in showing us about HIS economy! I dared to beleve it and now i am living it!
