WALKING PARTNERS
Do you walk daily? My guess is that your answer to both questions is the same! If you have a walking partner, you probably said, "YES!" I walk daily. If you don't have a walking partner, you probably answered "No." Although I am committed to pursuing a healthy lifestyle, I quickly fall away from my daily walk when I don't have a walking partner. God created all creatures to walk two-by-two, and that includes women who want to get in shape and feel great. Almost every woman I know wants to: Lose a few pounds Spend quality time with a friend Have a prayer partner Improve their overall vitality and energy level Walking with a partner will accomplish all those goals and more. Knowing that someone is standing outside your door waiting for you is the best motivation to get up and go. Otherwise it's just too tempting to make up excuses. Believe me, I know. The Bible says no temptation has seized us except what is common to woman. And God is faithful. Whenever we are tempted he will provide a way of escape. Sisters, a walking partner is the way of escaping the temptation to hit that snooze button and indulge yourself an extra half-hour under the blankets So pick up the phone today and offer someone the exciting opportunity to partner with you. Both of you will be glad you did. BTW, resist the temptation to gossip and/or complain while you walk. My walking partner is also my prayer partner. Each morning, we quickly exchange an update which we call our "Good News, Bad News" moment. Then we PRAY. We have both seen dramatic results in spirit, soul and body. I know you will, too.
