Woman I Want to Be?" Please go back and read "The Pathway to Becoming the Woman I Want To Be." That's very important, as it explains every aspect of the program. But to answer this question: You are allowed to eat whatever you want as long as you eat all the items I recommend. The items listed each day are to be added to your diet. In other words, you are supposed to eat as many of the recommended fruits and vegetables as you possibly can......if you still have room left over (which of course, you shouldn't because “as many as you possibly can” implies that you are stuffed) then go ahead and eat whatever else you want. Can I have green tea? Can I have decaffeinated tea or decaff coffee? No, green tea contains caffeine. Avoid decaff tea and coffee, too. (Obviously, this goes for soda pop, too, which you should avoid because of sugar, caffeine, salt and excessive amounts of phosphorus that interfere with proper calcium absorption.) Decaff starts out with caffeine and has a chemical added to remove the caffeine. It's still a mild stimulant. Drink water or juices. I recommend Teeccino. (The link is on my home page.) Teeccino is a wonderful coffee/tea alternative! Why do you suggest lemon water? Should it be hot, cold or warm? Lemon is a natural purifier that cleanses our bodies. It washes out all that your body has digested while you slept. If you don't believe me, believe your body. You'll be in the bathroom within 30 minutes!!! God tells us to "purify" or cleanse our bodies, so we are literally obeying God when we drink it. Develop a habit of drinking something other than COFFEE first thing in the morning! I think you should drink the lemon water hot or warm first thing in the morning. I think it would be wonderful to develop the habit of putting a bit of lemon in your cold water throughout the day. But first thing in the a.m. drink it warm-to- hot. Another purpose of the lemon water is to discipline your taste buds. To re-train them that not everything that touches them will be instantly pleasing to them. It teaches you to say, "Tough luck, Taste Buds. Get used to it. From now on, YOU are not in charge." That's why I absolutely say, "NO SWEETENERS"! That's defeating the whole purpose!!!! The brain is taking over and making godly choices. No longer will we be ruled by taste buds, but by God's Word which says, among other things, that our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. Specifically, "purify yourselves of everything that contaminates body and spirit." Where do I find EFA’s? Get them in the vitamin/supplement aisle at Wal*Mart or any retailer. What if I'm allergic to milk? Or if I hate the taste? Don't drink it. Try some yogurt, perhaps. Add it to the recipes; for example, creamed soup. How can I fast when my doctor won't let me fast from food because I'm diabetic or hyperglycemic or something else? Fast from something non-dietary such as the computer, your favorite TV program, etc. Or only fast from certain foods -- particularly those goodies that you really don't need any way. What if I'm allergic to eggs or can't digest them? Use tofu. What if something suggested in the Program makes me really sick? Then don't do it. The program has excellent dietary suggestions, but this isn't a one-size- fits-all world. TRY what is suggested in the Program, but if you can't do it for some reason, don't. Occasionally, changing your routine will upset your system ONLY temporarily. This is the case, for instance, with eliminating coffee or pop. Your body will endure caffeine withdrawals that can make you shaky, give you a headache, or kill your energy. This is only temporary until your body gets accustomed to NOT having the caffeine. Let the Holy Spirit be your guide. What is the recipe for the Bath Mix? Here it is. Everyone asks how much to use. That's your preference and depends on how much water is in your tub. Start with about 1/4 cup. 1 cup Epson Salts 1/2 cup regular Sea Salt 1/4 cup baking soda and a few drops of lavender oil Get in very hot water, but not scalding, and soak till water is cold but no longer than 1/2 hour. Light aromatic candles and play relaxing praise music. Do at least once a week. On a daily basis you can use 1/4 cup baking soda and 1 TBS of Epson salt in all your baths for softer skin. What if I fail partway through the program? Should I start over at the beginning? That's up to you. Some ladies go back to page 1 and begin anew. Some pick up where they "fell off" and then resume. Renewal is a life-long process. We have all kinds of stumbling blocks as we go along in life. You're NOT a failure. Continue to rely on Jesus to give you the strength you need. Travel at your own pace. When on the Yahoo support site, I clicked on LEAVE GROUP and was kicked off the group. Why? At the right side of the screen is a LEAVE GROUP option. Many women think this means that they want to exit this group to go to another or to simply logout of Yahoo. WRONG. If you click LEAVE GROUP, Yahoo thinks you want to no longer be a member. Do NOT click LEAVE GROUP unless you desire to stop being a member of the 90 Day Renewal. (And we hope that does not happen!)
