Meet one of MY Heroes: The Profiles in Power series begins
I’m so excited to introduce my Profiles in Power series! Throughout the month of April, I’ll be inviting you to enjoy intriguing conversations with some of my favorite people – those who walk in the power of God. The first power-packed friend I want you to meet is Debora Gill. I met Debora several years ago in Bogota, Colombia, where we were both speaking at the national Macedonia Conference. We have since become great friends and I consider her one of the most powerful women of God I’ve met anywhere in the world — and I’ve traveled to nearly 30 countries, so that’s saying something! Of course, it’s a drop in the bucket compared to Debora’s world travels.
Of course, my first thought when I met her was, “Dear Jesus, please give me a legitimate reason to hate her to justify my insane jealousy of how ridiculously BEAUTIFUL she is!” But alas, I soon discovered she is 1000x more beautiful inside so I had no choice but to absolutely adore her! You will love her, too.
Debora Leitner Gill is a Kingdom Businesswoman, who with her husband Christopher, owns a group of leading companies in the world for microfilming newspapers, digitizing them and putting them on-line at www.newspaperarchive.com . They serve individual members, libraries, states and nations with the world’s largest newspaper archive on-line, boasting over 115 million pages representing more than 10 countries in 40 languages. Their vision is to put the world’s history on-line. Debora assists her husband in International sales and general management of its companies.
Debora is an ordained minister of the Christian religion and the founder of a nonprofit organization www.globalwaymakers.org that, through the “for-profit” website, raises thousands of dollars for orphans, abject poverty, children subject to the child sex trade, scholarships and micro-loans that give opportunity to those who want to make a difference.
She speaks and ministers at conferences Internationally and has received the 2006 California Senate award for her exemplary record of civic leadership. Debora and Christopher travel extensively for business, ministry and for pleasure having visited more than 60 Nations. She and her husband Christopher are the parents of five children who are almost all university students.
Her motto: “MAKING THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE…ONE LIFE AT A TIME”
