Leah is willing to serve. Are you willing to send?
Modern Christian band Casting Crowns poses these questions in their song, If We Are The Body: "If we are the body, why aren’t His arms reaching? Why aren’t His hands healing? Why aren’t His words teaching? And if we are the body, why aren’t His feet going? Why is His love not showing them there is a way?"
Friends and family, this summer, God is calling me to serve in Haiti. I do not take that statement lightly, because as the world has a newly heightened awareness of Haiti, as a Christian, I have all the more respect for its inherent dangers and difficulties. But I strongly believe that there is no safer place to be than smack dab in the center of God’s perfect will. My home church sponsors the Mason de Lumiere orphanage just outside of Port Au Prince, Haiti. The trip this summer will be the 3rd annual “Camp-in-a-Box” and will take place June 24th-July 4th. After all that the Haitian people have been through, I truly believe that now more than ever, these precious children will be immensely blessed by this scripture filled summer camp that includes games, worship, Bible lessons and counseling.
Having now traveled over a dozen countries in various forms of ministry, I could not be more excited to be a part of something so clearly orchestrated by God. When that fateful earthquake hit just a couple of months ago, while the Presidential Palace itself was badly damaged, this orphanage remained standing; not one brick from the buildings faltered. While you could surely say quite correctly that most of Haiti is comprised of horribly architected buildings, there is no scientific explanation for why the grandest building in the country foundered, while this small orphanage remained standing. God has shown great favor for those there who have honored Him. And during such precarious and trying times, when many of the people of Haiti are turning away from their witchcraft and voodoo and so many of them are discovering God, what better opportunity to show them in the simplest of ways the love He truly does have for them. I cannot help but believe that I have been prepared for such a time as this.
I know that it is the heart of many to be there in Haiti now. To be serving; to be doing anything and everything possible to help; to be the hands and feet of Jesus. But I also realize that for some, family, career, health or other limitation makes a trip to Haiti impossible right now. And of course, God can do ministry through anyone anywhere. But with your permission, I would like to so boldly suggest that if God lays it on your hearts, if you would be so willing as to be that hands that give, I am more than ready to be the feet that go; and together, we can be the body, working in unison to bring joy to others and glory to our loving and faithful God.
In order to be a part of this team, I must raise $2,000 as soon as possible. Please let me assure you that this is no shady organization: the money WILL go towards airfare, food, and the camp itself. If you would like to sponsor me financially, please make checks payable to Child Hope International, and be sure to include my name on the memo line. Checks should be mailed to Donna Partow International, P.O. Box 2127, Mesa, AZ 85214. You can also donate directly to Donna Partow International, designing Haiti Trip via our paypal portal or your own using donna@donnapartow.com
All donations are tax deductible. Regardless of any financial involvement, I ask that you please pray for each and every person on this team. . It does us no more good to be spiritually prepared with no means of getting there than it does to arrive fully funded, but not spiritually equipped to do what it is God has in store for us. Surely we can not accomplish even one thing worth accomplishing unless God’s hand is in it.
Thank you again, and God bless you.

Matthew 28:18-20 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen.
