Is Your Body Weight-Loss Resistant?
Have you noticed that it takes 6 months to lose 5 lbs….and a weekend to gain it all back plus a few more!?!
The problem may NOT be you or what you are doing. The problem may be what you don’t know! What you don’t know may be leaving you exhausted, unable to lose weight, and maybe even sick
The food we eat, water we drink and air we breathe are filled with chemicals. Those chemicals leave toxic deposits in our fat cells creating a little thing we call cellulite.
It’s ugly but that’s not the point. You are literally carrying around those toxins, trapped in the fat cells in your body.
Your fat cells are doing you a favor by holding onto the toxins, preventing them from circulating thru your system wreaking major havoc on your health. Until your body provides those cells with a map to the exit ramp, those fat cells are holding on to all that garbage for your dear life
Your body also retains excess water to dilute the excess chemicals and impurities. No wonder you feel (and look) bloated!
I’m a firm believer in helping the body do what God created it to do: heal itself. When we keep our bodies as clean as possible, it will thank us with energy and better health
This past Monday, I forgot to take the garbage out! Now the bin is over-flowing, it smells and it just can’t handle anything else.
Some of us haven’t taken out the garbage (for our bodies) in decades. Yet we can’t figure out why our bodies aren’t functioning the way God intended.
Here are a few things I passionately believe can make a difference. Give some of these a try and let me know how much more energy you have:
- Drink lots of water
- Add fresh lemon to warm water each morning
- Eat God-made food rather than man-made food
- Plant a garden! Start with a lemon tree or simple vegetables
- Walk at least 30 mins 5 days/week
- Jump on a quality mini-trampoline
- Visit www.safecosmetics.org
- Wash your pillow case every two days in hot water
- Dry your face with a clean paper towel
- Bathe in epsom salts and baking soda once/week
- Fast routinely! My favorite fasting drink is warm lemon water with one tablespoon Grade B .maple syrup and a dash of cayenne pepper. Start with two days, build to five then ten days.
- As God directs, prayerfully consider a 40 day fast
My book, Becoming the Woman I Want to Be: A 90 Day Journey to Renewing Spirit, Soul + Body, outlines a comprehensive cleanse for spirit, soul and body. I invite you to check it out.
I also recommend the nutritional cleansing product, Isagenix.
Here’s a video on Nutritional Cleansing
Take care of your body and it will return the favor!
I really appreciate your ideas for keeping our temple clean. We forgot how many toxins are in our environment. We really have to be mindful to clean them out just as we need to be mindful of the spiritual toxins that try to pollute our minds and hearts.
Yes, Sue, it’s all about purifying ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God.
I don’t really have an opinion on that. There might be nutritional reasons why one is better than another, but I’m not going to weigh-in on the subject. (Get it: weigh-in….ha ha) I do think warm is more soothing for the throat and I just prefer it.
If others want to weigh in with insight on cold vs. warm lemon water, this is your open invitation to do so
