Is the Economic Crisis Over?
The USA Today claims the financial crisis is history. But Robert Kiyosaki, world-famous author of Rich Dad Poor Dad, begs to differ. In an article posted today on his website, he says, “Those who believe this will be financially wiped out. The crisis isn’t history. It’s shaping up to be the biggest crisis in history. And the actions you take now will shape your financial future for years to come. Find out how to survive and thrive.”
Among his suggestions: buy silver coins.
But what really grabbed my attention was this phrase: “If you want to believe [it’s over], go ahead and drift off into dreamland. Personally, I’d rather face the facts, look at the real numbers, and prepare for the biggest financial crisis and wealth transfer in the history of the world.”
Re-read the last phrase: the greatest wealth transfer in the history of the world.
In recent years, there has been much talk in some segments of the church about Proverbs 13:22, “The wealth of the wicked is stored up for the righteous.” The phrases “great transfer of wealth” and “wealth transfer” have been used for countless sermons and even book titles. Having often been first in line to bash “prosperity preachers,” I initially did not take this teaching very seriously. God is certainly not going to hand out money like lotto winnings to people who are sitting around doing nothin’ waiting for manna to drop out of heaven. The bible is pretty clear about it’s perspective on those who are hoping to get something for nothing: “He who works his land will have abundant food, but he who chases fantasies lacks judgment…and will have his fill of poverty” (Proverbs 12:11 and 28:19). God rained down manna from heaven on the Israelites because they had worked for 400+ years without pay.
Now, here is a secular figure, a financial guru, using that very same phrase. I believe God is about to transfer an enormous amount of financial resources out of Corporate America into the hands of individuals who will use those resources to advance God’s Kingdom agenda worldwide. I also believe that Kingdom-seeking independent entrepreneurs will be exceptionally well-positioned to profit from this massive paradigm shift.
