Would you like to take your ministry int...
Have you ever considered taking your ministry international? Has God spoken to YOU about the need to take the Gospel to the nations? Do you ever think to yourself, "I love using my gifts here in my own country...but I can't help feeling there are greater needs beyond these shores that i can also meet"? It is not an either/or proposition. International ministry can actually fuel

Earthquake Update from Food for the Hung...
Donna Partow traveled to Mozambique in Feb 2009 to see the work of Food
for the Hungry firsthand. She met with our staff in Beira and encouraged
them to continue pressing on in challenging circumstances. Donna also
visited the region of Gorongoza, one of the spiritually darkest places on
the continent. People travel from other countries to meet with witch
doctors in hopes of them telling their future, healing their diseases and
casting spells on neighbors
Reflections on Guatemala
My 19 year old daughter, Leah, has just returned from Guatemala where she served as a Leader in Training. She traveled with a team of approximately 600 people—mostly high school and college students. The work included painting schools, cleaning up at orphanages, and performing a powerful drama about God’s love. Here are her reflections: As the anticipated team list arrived, I looked it over calmly. It was

My two daughters, Taraneh (12, pictured above on her first mission trip to Mexico) and Leah (19, pictured below on a mission trip to Bogota, Colombia) are praying about joining Focus on the Family’s Brio Magazine on a mission trip to Guatemala this summer.
Leah feels called to full-time missionary service and is excited to share her heart for the world with her little sissy. Mom has been informed that

It Is WELL Project
How would you like to be part of my initiative to bring life-saving water to a community in Mozambique? After observation, prayer and consultation w Mozambican pastors and national Christian leaders, I've developed a three-part strategy for future outreach here: 1. Well Installation Those of you who've attended my events know my favorite hymn is "It is Well" or "When Peace Like a River."
Mozambique
It's official. I leave for Mozambique NEXT Sunday, February 9, with Food for the Hungry. This happened so quickly, but I am confident it is a total God-appointment. I am filled with joy and a strong sense of destiny. If you'd like to learn more about my international ministry, you can view two videos at www.donnapartow.org (click on the International tab). New Monasticism & Divine Rhythm
Have you ever been so busy you forgot to eat? Sometimes I even forget to drink, which can have serious consequences since I live in the desert. Dehydration sets in. I feel exhausted, drained and dizzy. I can’t think straight! Sometimes, we can get spiritually dehydrated, especially when we’re so busy coming and going that we forget to just stop the madness. Everyone talks about the hectic pace of life
Expect Great Things From God; Attempt Gr...
William Cary lived by the motto: “Expect great things from God; attempt great things for God.”
At the time, the church had (with few exceptions) ignored the Great Commission for a thousand years. In 1792, Cary had the nerve to publish a book challenging Christians to own up to their long-neglected responsibilities to boldly take the gospel to all nations. He was vigorously opposed by fellow pastors when he tried
What Surviving a Real Earthquake Taught ...
A freight-train full of roaring lions.
At a distance but closing in fast.
That’s what it sounded like. Then the floor beneath me started shaking. The entire room began swaying from side-to-side. As I stood on the 18th floor of the Ala Moana Hotel on Oahu, my first thought was that I was imagining things. Then it occurred to me that I was physically ill and about to pass out. But as
