About Donna
I’m a Christian author and motivational speaker on a mission to empower people to maximize their lives for maximum Kingdom impact. You might call me an obsessive compulsive. My obsession? The Kingdom. It’s all about advancing the Kingdom. My consuming passion is motivating the church to get up out of the stinkin’ pews and into the world. Honestly, I don’t even care what you do. Just leave the building, people! Leave the building!
Just because He can, God has enabled me to write a bunch of bestselling Christian books that have sold almost a million copies on all seven continents. Yep, even made it to Antarctica. Some of my best-sellers include Becoming a Vessel God Can Use, This Isn’t the Life I Signed Up For…but I’m Finding Hope & Healing and my latest, Becoming The Woman God Wants Me To Be: A 90-Day Guide to Living the Proverbs 31 Life. People ask how I landed in ministry. Here’s how it went down. The angels were having a bad week and God knew they needed a good laugh. He spotted me living in a trailer off the New Jersey Turnpike and smiled from ear-to-ear. "Hey, everybody, watch this. I’m going to give this woman a worldwide ministry!" Rumor has it the angels laughed for a month. I’m on the planet for one reason: to demonstrate that God has absolutely no standards. He’ll take anybody in. If you are willing to turn your life over to God, no matter what a mess you’ve made, he will astound a watching world with what he can do.
God has graced with a comfort level in a broad range of settings, from rehab centers and jungle huts to Latin American street corners and hotel ballrooms. Denominations? Name ‘em! Anglican, Apostolic, Baptist, Catholic, Charismatic, Presbyterian….Worldwide Church of Christ. As long as God shows up, I’m cool with it. I toured with Women of Virtue for three years, along with popular speakers like Barbara Johnson, Patsy Clairmont, Stormie Omartian and so many others! But when people leave my conferences, I don’t want them to say, "Wow, what a remarkable woman. I could never be like her." I want them to say, "If I had known the standards for being used in the Kingdom were that low, I would have signed up years ago."
Radio and TV shows have proven to be a great medium for me to share the message God’s given. I’ve even had some wild opportunities: I’ve spoken at the CIA Headquarters in Langley, Virgina twice and have done three conferences on women’s entrepreneurship for Senator John McCain (neat guy, lovely wife, btw). I absolutely love, love, love the Middle East and have a ministry called Pieces4Peace which reaches into the largest Muslim city in the world.Even though I fried my brain on cocaine, apparently enough cells survived to enable me to maintain a 4.0 at the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Arts & Sciences and Wharton Business School. I hold a B.A. in English (with a very practical emphasis on 17th Century British literature) from Rutgers University.
I’m here in the blogosphere looking to network with others who are serious about advancing the Kingdom around the world.
